Congratulations to Speed Zone's coach, Stephen Haylock who was awarded the Logan City Sports Coach of the Year for 2006.
Everyone at Speed Zone here knows that Stephen is the best coach so it was great for him to receive such a high accolade for all of his hard work.
It was a great occasion for Stephen and an excellent night for the sport of speed skating. There was a variety of popular sports represented at the awards night eg. basketball, rugby league, athletics, swimming, netball, martial arts, cricket, triathlon, weight lifting – to name a few and as well as winning coach of the year, speed skating star Angeline Thomas also won Young Sports Female of the year..
Stephen has been involved in the sport of speed skating for more than 30 years.
Stephen Haylock is an acclaimed Australian Inline Speed Skating coach.
He's coached many teams to victory and is the current head coach for Speedzone.
